Removing or extracting background music from the recording is somewhat challenging if you have never edited audios. While with Audacity, you can isolate vocals, eliminate or reduce the presence of background music to make your favorite song a little closer to the a capella realm,<\/p>\n

Step One: Download Audacity<\/a> and install it on your computer.<\/p>\n

Step Two: Launch the program and open the song by clicking \u201cFile\u201d–\u201dOpen\u201d.<\/p>\n

Step Three: In the \u201cEdit\u201d drop-down menu, choose \u201cSelect\u201d–\u201dAll\u201d to select the whole track. Click \u201cCopy\u201d in the edit drop-down menu.<\/p>\n

Step Four: Click \u201cTracks\u201d tab and select \u201cAdd new\u201d–\u201dStereo Track\u201d in the drop-down menu. click \u201cPaste\u201d to create a duplicate copy of the song in stereo.<\/p>\n

Step Five: Select the duplicate track and choose the \u201cVocal Remover\u201d in the drop-down Effect menu. Choose \u201cNoise Removal\u201d from the Effect menu and press the \u201cGet Noise Profile\u201d button.<\/p>\n

Step Six: Select the original track. Choose \u201cNoise Removal\u201d from the Effect menu once again, but this time press the \u201cOK\u201d button to apply the Noise Removal effect.<\/p>\n
