If one of your updates is stuck during download or is refusing to install, it\u2019s likely that the file is corrupted. Or that your browser had defaulted to Microsoft Edge? For whatever reason, Windows 10 isn\u2019t good at remembering what programs you\u2019d chosen to open specific file types. It can also impact some Ethernet connections. First, check your keyboard to see if there\u2019s a function button that turns the touchpad off and on. This will vary depending on your device, but it\u2019ll usually be represented by an icon on one of the F# keys.<\/p>\n<p>If this doesn\u2019t work, press\u00a0<strong>Windows Key + I<\/strong>, select\u00a0<strong>Devices\u00a0&gt;\u00a0Mouse &amp; touchpad\u00a0&gt;\u00a0Additional mouse options<\/strong>. A new window will open and from here you need to click the tab which is furthest to the right, likely called\u00a0<strong>Device Settings<\/strong>. Underneath<strong>\u00a0Devices<\/strong>, select your touchpad and ensure it\u2019s not disabled. Then expand\u00a0<strong>Mice and other pointing devices<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: inherit\">right-click\u00a0<\/strong>your touchpad and select\u00a0<strong>Update Driver Software\u2026<\/strong>\u00a0You could also navigate to the manufacturer\u2019s website and download your drivers that way instead.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #222222\"><strong>Can\u2019t Install or Update Store Apps<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If you\u2019re having trouble installing or updating apps within the Store, you might need to clear the cache. This is really easy to do.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4053\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filepuma.com\/reviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/RbCZD53657a43dd3eb68d054653960.png\" alt=\"wsreset\" width=\"499\" height=\"107\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #313131\">First, press\u00a0<\/span><strong>Windows Key + R\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"color: #313131\">to open Run. A blank Command Prompt window will open, but don\u2019t worry, it is working away. Eventually it\u2019ll close and the Store will open, hopefully with your issues resolved.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #222222\"><strong>Microsoft Office Files Don\u2019t Open<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"color: #313131;text-align: justify\">If you\u2019re trying to open Microsoft Office files and getting errors like \u201cfile is corrupt and cannot be opened\u201d, \u201cunable to start correctly\u201d, and \u201cexperience an error trying to open the file\u201d, it might be due to problems with the Protected View feature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #313131\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4054\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filepuma.com\/reviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/AHmyL6157a43e4462bdd519667113.png\" alt=\"repair-office\" width=\"523\" height=\"336\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To overcome this, press\u00a0<strong>CTRL\u00a0+ X\u00a0<\/strong>and then select\u00a0<strong>Command Prompt (Admin)<\/strong>.
