Doing this opens up a new document right there.<\/p>\n<p>Replace \u201cdocs\u201d with \u201csheets\u201d in the above URL\u00a0if you want a Google Spreadsheet, with \u201cslides\u201d if you want a Google Presentation, with \u201cdrawings\u201d if you want a Google Drawing, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Save these URLs as bookmarks and you won\u2019t need more than a couple of clicks to create any type of new file in Google Drive.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4058\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filepuma.com\/reviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/jIwWL10057aad8c244b78065266694.jpg\" alt=\"google-docs-templates\" width=\"640\" height=\"280\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #313131;text-align: justify\"><strong style=\"font-weight: inherit\">\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Start with a template.<\/strong>\u00a0 Templates are a sensible (and awesome!) way to tackle repetitive tasks with minimal fuss\u00a0\u2014 tasks like creating outlines, newsletters, checklists, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #313131;text-align: justify\">You can begin with one of the default templates via the home screen of the type of template that you want to create. For example, if you want to use a Google Docs template, visit\u00a0<em>docs.google.com<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #313131;text-align: justify\"><strong>Add shared files to your Drive.\u00a0 <\/strong>When people share files with you on Google Drive, you\u2019ll see them listed in the\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: inherit\">Shared with me<\/strong>\u00a0section. But they\u2019re\u00a0not actually<em style=\"font-style: inherit\">in<\/em>\u00a0your Drive.
