Memory Pictures (Windows) is a desktop application designed to help you embed meaningful details into your digital photos. When you take pictures with a smartphone or camera, basic settings like shutter speed and GPS coordinates are automatically stored in the photo’s metadata. Memory Pictures expands on this by letting you add or adjust location information and personal notes directly inside each photo file.

Memory Pictures supports a wide range of photo formats, including JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and many popular RAW formats from Canon, Nikon, FujiFilm, and others. With built-in map features powered by OpenStreetMap, you can find and select precise locations visually instead of entering latitude and longitude manually. This makes it easier to tag the exact place where a photo was taken or correct inaccurate GPS data from your camera.

In addition to location data, Memory Pictures lets you include journal entries or personal stories within the EXIF “User Comment” section of a photo. These notes stay with the image and can be viewed later in supporting photo viewers or websites. This feature lets your photos carry both visual memories and context about what happened when they were taken.

Memory Pictures also offers options to edit multiple photos at once and preserve original file dates and image content. You can export coordinate and note information into a CSV file for organization or sharing, and a free viewer is available for others to see the embedded data.
